This blog is about having a heartfelt conversation with my powers at be & celebrating this temporal life of mine in the good & the bad. Real intent is about keeping it real & living authentically; jumping over the moon is about letting go of the bondage of self and opening our experiences to something wholly new. I combined all my blogs into one when I started the #IAmKat series as i share pieces of my book and journey

The Love of God Forgets
The Love of God Forgets
I dreamed I went to heaven
I stood before your throne
Angels singing around me
Your Son welcomes me home
You yourself spoke to me saying a job well done
Father I said, you say a job well done but all I’ve done is sinned
God spoke with such authority that even the angels stopped and listened
Son, He said, I don’t remember that
Do you remember the time I stole from the store, I said
He shook his head and said no
Don’t you remember all the times I lied to my mom and how much I hurt her
God just shook His head no
Don’t you remember the times I cursed, drank, smoke, and did drugs
What about the times I looked at pornography, turned my back on you,
The times that I fought with my wife and the times I did not tithe
God with a smile just shook His head no and said I don’t remember those things
What about the time…..
God holds up His hand and says I don’t remember those things
I do remember the times you would give all you had to help someone in need
I remember your caring heart, how you would go out of your way to brighten ones day
I remember the love you had for me and the way you served
I remember the lives that you led to the Lord
Your faithfulness in church, and how you allowed others to see me in you
But Lord how can you remember these things and not of those I mentioned
I remember my Son dying on the cross as a living sacrifice for your sins
I remember you giving your life to Him
My Son paid for all and your debt was cleared
Tears filled my eyes as I awoke
How many people do I hold their debts against them
Each day I wake up I need to forgive the debts and remember they were paid in FULL
“As far as the east is from the west,
so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.”
Psalms 103:12
