Day of Silence April 17 2009- Day i came out and admitted that I was intersex

28Nov15- 3 days prior my car was being pulled from Little Dell Reservoir,   Car Pulled From The Little Dell Reservoir . Even from the information Table I worked earlier in the day I heard comments on campus freak, sick, not normal etc, as I struggle to pen exactly what I was going to say when we broke the silence later in the day. Following the Day of Silence, we held a Silence is a Drag Show. I felt the most comfortable being myself and then went back to only dressing the evening in hiding as I had no plan at the time how I was going to come out to the family and church and went back into my same life before I took the plunge. Even when I started dating someone and got engaged to (I did fall in love with her and her baby, as I was doing everything to not be me), her response was "I can handle you doing drag that way I can share your clothes, just can't handle you or being married to another woman."

University of Utah Apr 17, 2009 Day of Silence. I read this as a woman.

Silence is a time for reflection, a time for personal discovery. However, silence can last a life time. Silence can be a deadly weapon if the vehicle for expression is ignored. To many voices fall on deaf ears and the consequences are deadly. As allies, LGBTQ, faculty, students, and friends we call on you to make a stand for the rights and opportunities, the privileges and the very live of the LGBTQ community.

It is a time to take a stand, become a voice to allow the LGBTQ community to break free from oppression that hinder the community from being equal citizens among the rest of the country.

We are no different than our families, friends, church members, collegues, and every other person out there.

We are people. Doesn't matter if we are gay, lesbian, bisexual, queer, transgendered, questioning, straight or whatever characteristics that make one an indidvidual.

WE ARE ALL EQUAL

Lets take a stand to ensure ALL people have the exact same rights as everyone else. NO SUBSTITUTIONS

Even on this campus we still suffer discrimination, disgust, & hatred. Today the comments of freaks, sick, not normal, go to hell and disgusted looks rang true at our information table.

How much more we as allies and the community need to reach out to people and show compassion and to strive to educate those around us that we are no different than anyone else.

As we break the silence. Let our shouts, our cries for freedom and equality be heard far and wide as our promise that we will not stop nor rest until everyone regardless if LGBTQ or not is treated equal.

EQUALITY FOR ALL

Please make noise in support of our promise.

Thank you

Long Awaited Update (blog)

Sunday, April 05, 2009 12:30 AM

I am who I am and who I am needs no excuses" I am different from every other person out there. I love being different. All my experiences that i have gone through in my life both good and bad have made me who I am today. I am constantly changing and figuring out who I am. It is amazing how people change. I know for me I am not the same person as I was a few months ago.

I finally am getting a sense of positive direction in my life.

Its been awhile since I updated my blog.  Life could not be any better.  My life and health have done a complete 180 and I am living high on the great things of life.  Im training for a 5k on Apr 11. And a half marathon in July at Bryce Canyon.  My older brother is getting married May 2nd and I am flying out to officiate it.  I have been having fun dating and 6 weeks ago I recieved my Doctorate of Philosophy in Divinity, So I am officially a doctor, a doctor with out the pay, but a doctor anyway.

Thank God this semester is almost over, however this looking to be the best semester yet.  I am taking two classes this summer.

I am so blessed in my life and I am grateful for the many opportunities the Lord Jesus Christ, our brother, gives me to serve him.   I am very greatful for our temples and our priesthood leaders and their guidance and extremely greatful for our living prophet President Thomas S Monson who was called by God in this dispensation to guide his people in these latter days.  This weekend is General Conference and my 5 year anniversary that Ann Weidman, my cousin, made me promise her to read the Book of Mormon with her puppy dog eyes and for that I am forever indebted.

I am blessed to have such a great family and to have have two great heros and friends in my life, my Mom and my Uncle.  I have four sister and two brothers and two gorgeous nieces from Jenna with a niece or nephew on the way.

Life is great.  "Carpe Diem"

My personal philosophy:  C'est le vie, What life throws at you a that you can't change, make the best of it will fixing the things you can change.
