Luke 22:60-62


The Lord said to Peter, before the cock crews on the third day thou wilt deny me

Not I said Peter I would never deny you

But yet everyday 24/7 Peter denies Jesus

He denies Jesus when we cheat, steal, and lie

When he sleeps with another guy

He denies Jesus when it’s the prostitute he lusts for

Or its porn he adores

He denies Jesus when he kills

Or when he chooses not to do God’s will

He denies Jesus when he drinks, smokes, and uses drugs

Or when he hangs out with murders, whoremongers, and thugs

He denies Jesus with gossip and slander

Or when he covets the stuff of his neighbor

He denies Jesus when he gambles and parties

He denies Jesus when he forgets the Sabbath

Or when he doesn’t read his bible and pray

He denies Jesus when he refuses to help those in need

Like the homeless he does not feed

He denies Jesus with his heart

He denies Jesus in our talk

He denies Jesus when he refuses to witness or go to church

Or when he doesn’t support the church and his Pastor

He denies Jesus when he doesn’t pay his tithe

When he refuse to accept Jesus as our Savior

We are Peter

We promise not to deny the Lord but we do it any way

Will you choose to continue to be a Peter

And deny the one who died for you
